Promise of the Lord

Characters:
1) The Lord Almighty.
2) Zechariah son of Berekiah, the son of iddo.
3) Angels.

A Man with a Measuring Line

Zechariah 2:1-5

Then I looked up-
And there before me was a man with a measuring line in his hand!
I asked, “Where are you going?”
He answered me,
“To measure Jerusalem to find out how wide and long it is”.
Then the angel who was speaking to me left,
And another angel came to meet him
And said to him:”””””Run”””””””(Try to imagine the excitement with which the angel has told these things…God is telling me that the angel was full of Joy and bursting with smiles and happiness as he was telling this), tell that young man, ‘Jerusalem will be a city without “”””walls””””
(NO BOUNDARIES…..NO LIMITS)
(((Let’s see what Walls can signify according to what was being spoken here:
Walls imply
1) Boundaries
2) Limits
3) No trespassing
4) Inhibit
5) Punishment if crossed
6) Not eligible to cross the line
7) Not your territory)))

Because of the great number of men and livestock live in it.
((Only those who are under the Love of the Lord and under his grace….=> In his sanctuary….
And so this implies A GREAT NUMBER OF PEOPLE ARE GOING TO BE SAVED, AND THERE ARE ALSO SUPPLIES TO THEIR NEED i.e the livestock.)))

AND I MYSELF WILL BE A WALL OF FIRE AROUND IT,
’DECLARES THE LORD,’AND I WILL BE ITS GLORY WITHIN.
((( HE is the outer cover and inner material of the PRODUCT ……
We are just the product.
We are just containers…..The outer brand cover is that We belong to Jesus and inner material is the Spirit of God…
And the person who comes to buy is God-the Father.
He is like a wall of fire …which will burn anything that tries to come inside….and he will stay inside….and make his dwelling inside us.
But for that we need to first light the wall of fire with the Spirit of God every single day…so everyday you get up pray for this promise to be fulfilled in ur life that day!!!)))

Zechariah 2:8-13

For this is what the LORD ALMIGHTY says:
After he has honored me and
sent me
“”””””””””against””””””””’””
the nations that have (See the plurality…God wont leave anything tht has harmed you)
“”””””””””plundered”””””
“””””””””””””””you””””””””””””’’
- for whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye.

I( The ANGEL OF THE LORD almighty himself)
WILL SURELY (With certainty ….God himself has made clear to the angel about how certain he is …. then think how certain he means to be…)
RAISE MY HAND AGAINST THEM( THE WRATH OF THE LORD..Once the angel slaughtered 1,85,000 soldiers of sennucharib in a single night)
SO THAT THEIR SLAVES WILL PLUNDER THEM. ( The worst of the scenarios will happen )
THEN YOU WILL KNOW THAT THE LORD ALMIGHTY HAS SENT ME.

SHOUT AND BE GLAD,’O Daughter of Zion.
For I am coming,
And I WILL LIVE AMONG YOU,” declares the Lord.
(Fulfilled in Jesus’ coming!!!)
“Many nations will be joined with the LORD in that day and
WILL BECOME MY PEOPLE.
I WILL LIVE AMONG YOU AND
YOU WILL KNOW THAT
THE LORD ALMIGHTY HAS SENT ME TO YOU.((COULD BE JESUS!!!)

The Lord will inherit Judah
as his portion in the holy land and
will “””””””again”””””’ choose JERUSALEM.((CHOOSE YOU))

BE STILL, before the LORD, all mankind.(( Its for Humans…coz its for us the Lord is worried about bcoz we were the ones he gave the freewill.))
Because HE HAS ROUSED HIMSELF FROM HIS HOLY DWELLING”.
((Understand that the Lord himself got aroused then how serious it is!!!! And how much he means it….the most powerful of all time roused himself!!!))


Zechariah 3:1-10

Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right side to accuse him.

The Lord said to Satan,” The Lord rebuke you, Satan! (( Implies the other one of the trinity rebuke you))
The Lord Who has chosen Jerusalem, rebuke You!
Is not this man a burning stick snatched from the fire?

Now Joshua was dressed in filthy clothes as he stood before the angel.
The angel said to those who were standing before him ,”Take off his filthy clothes”.( Even the High priest was as sinful before the Lord, purification was to be done)
Then he said to Joshua,
”See
I
HAVE TAKEN AWAY YOUR SIN (only God can take away someone’s sin…so it should be Jesus
HAS ALREADY TAKEN AWAY…SO WE JUST NEED TO REMEMBER THAT AND
{CALL UPON HIM: Jeremiah 33:3
Which says Call unto me (The Lord: We will really call upon him only when he have faith and belief that he can do something in our life) and
I WILL (I will says the Lord)
ANSWER (Imagine when he answers it should sure be a mind blowing revelation and bring to your knees and he is saying he will surely give us that experience when we EAGERLY wait upon him}
AND HIS GRACE WILL BE MADE EVIDENT TO US)
AND
I WILL (The certainty with which God is going to do…I WILL SAYS THE LORD…THEN SHOULD YOU DOUBT ANY FURTHER….Just ask the Spirit to reveal the Father’s Heart coz only the Spirit of God knows the heart of the Father)
PUT (will do the action- it’s a verb…He Himself will ordain us…isn’t it a great opportunity of eternity)
RICH GARMENTS (Observe the plurality of the word garments…and try to understand that the very person who made this earth rich in all its resources to satisfy the ever growing need of man and the sun which is rich in its fuel gases sooooo much that it doesn’t run out of fuel….

So would that same God doesn’t know when u need any thing and fulfill them at their appropriate times…)
ON YOU. (Conferred on you!!!
I need not write about who YOU are…
Coz we all know How God took us from the depths of the pit and here to understand his message..and if u are reading this…consider tht it was the work of the Spirit of God himself to lead you here…and teach us of his ways!!!
So understand tht he did NOT give you up no matter how things in life may look in your life today….remember that he has only good planned for you)

Then I said “Put a clean turban on his head: “
So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him while the angel of the Lord stood by.

The angel of the LORD gave this charge to Joshua.
“This is what the Lord Almighty says:’
If (conditional prophecy)
you ( Us…………….)
will ( surely to be done in future)
walk ( Implies
Have strength to walk and
Have legs to walk….implies we
Have to be strong and
Should not be without Spiritual legs..
Implies even when the road to be taken has thorns…you have to walk…coz we believe the Lord is with us…
Even when we are tired…we should walk…coz we believe that the Lord who is with us will fill us with the required strength
Have to walk without fainting…..with reference to Isaiah 40:31…
Where it is written for they shall run and walk and not faint!!!)
in my ways ( IN THE WAYS OF THE ALMIGHTY, through the word which he will make known through his Spirit at the appointed time)
and keep my requirements,(keep them in ur heart, make sure u will follow them with all your heart)
then you will govern my house ( God will give you authority)
and have charge of my courts,
( Charge of God’s property ,
Charge of what God has set apart for you…
Charge of things which glorify the Lord)
and I will give you a place among these standing here.( God is assuring a place..Imagine….. He……….the King of creation guaranteeing “”””””””””””’U”””””””””””’a place.It was he who set the place where Sun should shine and it shines magnificently…
So u cant even imagine the level at which he is going to assign a place to you)

Listen O high priest Joshua and your associated seated before you,
(God is calling upon us(its God himself am just trying to emphasize by repetition of how importantly we need to take God’s word to……. to see How granted we take the Word God for, by which we call upon the Most loving person of all time)….Shouldn’t we totally concentrate on what he is saying to us…If the president of the country calls upon you……would you not raise in respect and try to hear intently…what he wants to say to you…then how much more should you do for the Lord)
Who are men of symbolic of things to come.
( God will make us examples of prosperity…he sees prosperity in us..when he sees us…he sees the BLESSED FUTURE HE HAS IN PLAN FOR US)
Iam ( The Lord Almighty- God –The Father)
going to bring my servant, the Branch.( The prophecy about Jesus, Here God calls him servant…in Hebrew 1 chapter...He calls him God…He calls him Son. See the complexity of the relationship between the Son and the Lord and the beauty behind it…ask the Lord and he will reveal it to you personally to you whoever is reading this!!!!
The beauty of the Lord is when we seek with all our hearts…he answers)

See, the stone I have set in front of Joshua!
There are seven eyes on that one stone, and I will engrave an inscription on it ,’ says the Lord Almighty.
‘and I will remove the sin of this land in a single day.( When Jesus died on the cross All sins were washed in a single day)
In that day each of you will invite his neighbor to sit under his vine and the fig tree,’ declares the Lord Almighty.
(Universality of prosperity- Inviting neighbors under fig tree implies peace in the neighborhood).
